Our Process



…has been designed to protect both the volunteer and the neighbor-client. All Volunteers are background checked before giving service. Each neighbor-client is assessed to:

Determine if we can meet their needs
Ensure we have their emergency contact information
Have them sign a required disclosure releasing Caring Neighbors from any liability
Give them a refrigerator magnet with the dedicated phone number to call for service

The Way It Works


A neighbor calls the dedicated
phone number
with a need


An assessment is scheduled to obtain
necessary information to
serve the neighbor


The service request is emailed
to all volunteers
in that Village
(email includes: date/time and type
of service, emergency contact info
and pertinent info on the neighbor-client)


The volunteer who can fill the request
RESPONDS TO ALL

and calls the neighbor-client
to schedule the service
(all volunteers then know the request
is filled and delete the email)
